A Hudson River Estate in Layers
Discover
Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie brings an Italianate mansion together with landscaped grounds, trails, and art galleries. Its hilltop setting above the Hudson gives the house a wider landscape context. A visit can begin with architectural details, then move outward to consider how a historic estate connects buildings, gardens, and the surrounding land.
Before you go
Check mansion-tour arrangements separately from grounds access.
