Green Lakes State Park
Two Lakes With a Deeper Story

Green Lakes State Park surrounds Green and Round Lakes with upland forest. Both are meromictic: their surface and deeper waters do not undergo the usual seasonal mixing. That hidden structure adds a scientific dimension to a lakeside visit, inviting attention to what lies beneath a landscape's immediately visible beauty.
