Dia Beacon
A Factory Filled with Daylight

Discover
Dia Beacon brings contemporary art into a former Nabisco box-printing factory on the Hudson River. Opened in 2003, the museum uses the building’s broad industrial spaces and skylights as part of the setting for art from the 1960s onward. The architecture gives visitors another subject to notice alongside the works on view.
Fun facts
- The factory building dates to 1929.
- Robert Irwin conceived the museum’s master plan and surrounding gardens.
