The Shree Jagannatha Temple is famous for its annual Rath Yatra or Chariot Festival, during which the deities are paraded through the streets on enormous chariots, attracting millions of visitors from around the world. 2. Inside the temple complex, you'll find the sacred kitchen known as "Ananda Bazaar" or "Mahaprasad Area." It's believed that Lord Jagannatha personally tastes the food prepared here before it is offered to the devotees. 3. The temple has a unique flag known as "Patita Pavana," which changes its direction despite strong winds. It's considered a miracle and has amazed visitors for centuries. 4. Hidden within the temple compound is "Ranjit Tank," a small pond. It is believed that bathing in this tank can cure diseases, and it is mentioned in numerous historic texts. 5. The majestic temple structure stands tall and grand, measuring a remarkable height of about 214 ft (65 m) and is built with a combination of red sandstone and light yellow sandstone, giving it a distinctive appearance.
